Exceptional late summer Hot Air Balloon ride in Steamboat Springs! It could not have been any better in my opinion. We had three couples staying a week in Steamboat Springs. My friend has wanted to go for years. The family has a home here and they watched the balloons for years. Very professional operation, Bud our owner Pilot was outstanding. Great presentation before, during, and after! Views were incredible, very peaceful, and gentle touch down. I could not recommendmore highly five stars!

Awesome experience This was our second time with Wild West Balloon Adventures, this time with our two 7-year-old granddaughters. Everything about the experience was spectacular. The owners Bud and Stacia Whitehead are warm, friendly and extremely knowledgable. Bud, who flys the balloon, was a wonderful host and made everyone feel comfortable, taught us a lot about flying balloons and pointed out lots of interesting sights along the way. Stacia, took care of everyone before and after the flight and regaled us with the history of balloon flight. And the scenery was amazing. The kids loved it as did we. I highly recommend booking with Wild West Balloon Adventures the next time you're in Steamboat.

Perfect surprise proposal! This was THE BEST experience ever. My boyfriend proposed during this balloon ride! Bud and the crew went above and beyond to surprise me and make the proposal a dream. This was such a special experience we’ll remember forever.

Wonderful Experience. Bud and Stacia were great. They got me on the balloon last minute while I was visiting my daughter in Steamboat. The friendly staff was gracious and reassuring (as I am a mite bit afraid of heights). The ride was phenomenal and no fear - just pure joy. Loved the beauty, the gentle floating of the balloon, the quiet morning, and the company. Swag was great too. I'm wearing my shirt today and reliving the experience. I highly recommend this company and taking a hot air balloon ride.

Amazing experience seeing the Steamboat valley. Amazing! I've been hot air ballooning before, but this was one of the best. Bud and Stacia were wonderful hosts and guides. Most enjoyable flight experience Bud is in the air, and Stacia is on the ground, heading an excellent flying team!It was a beautiful morning. The balloon floated above the horizon, then came in low, skimming over the river, floating back up again, catching some winds. It was like a well-choreographed dance directed by Bud with his artistic maneuvering of the controls.The burners are initially a little surprising, but as you understand how they control the altitude and see the expertise in handling, they become part of the experience. Everyone can enjoy flying a hot air balloon. We certainly did. At the end of the flight and once back to camp, Bud regaled us with some exciting stories about the origin of hot air balloons and why it is essential to celebrate with champagne after the landing.Thank you, Stacia and Bud! Next time we are in Steam Boat, we will come and fly again with you.

Fantastic Experience! We live in Steamboat and had my mother-in-law in town so wanted to do something special for her (and us)! We were not disappointed - it was a bucket list experience! Bud was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable pilot and his crew were also great so we were in safe hands. The morning was perfect for a balloon flight with clear blue skies. We got up to 11,000 ft and saw a completely different view of Steamboat - I highly recommend Wild West Balloon Adventures!!
